Company

History

The PET Recycling Team company is one of Europe's leading companies recycling PET materials. In a globally networked world recycling gets to play a more and more important role. From the very beginning our company has been standing for the production of high-quality PET Regranulate, which is manufactured by a recycling process. The PET Regranulate is then again primarily used for the production of PET bottles, which leads to a significant reduction of CO2 emission.

2005

The PET Recycling Team GmbH was founded in Wöllersdorf, Austria

2006

Start-Up of the production plant with an annual capacity of 5,000 tons

2007

The annual capacity of the extrusion plant reaches 16,000 tons of produced PET Regranulate

2009

The annual capacity  is expended to 31,000 tons of produced PET Regranulate

2010

The PET Recycling Team company wins over ALPLA as the new majority shareholder

2013

The subsidiary company PRT Radomsko in Poland goes into operation with an annual capacity of 15,000 tons PET recyclate

2018

Cooperation with Texplast GmbH, a German producer of PET flakes and rPET pellets, to optimise recycling rates and reduce CO2 emissions through saved transport

2019

Foundation of PET Recycling Team Wolfen in Germany, a joint venture of ALPLA and the FROMM Group

2020

The annual capacity of PRT Radomsko is doubled to 30,000 tons rPET pellets

Concept

We produce high-quality PET Regranulate out of PET Bottles through state-of-the-art technology. Our PET Regranulate is then again used for the production of food packages, bottles for food and industry films or fibers. The spirit of „Bottle-To-Bottle“ is shown in the chart below - The PET Cycle.

Concept

After the PET bottle is produced for the first time, it will be provided to the customer in retail trade to buy it. Ideally, each customer disposes his empty PET bottle in designated collection points for PET bottles. The collected PET bottles will then be transported to the recycling company or rather picked up by the company. Later, the PET bottles will be sorted by their colour and will be recycled in the recycling process steps according to highest quality standards. The resulting final product – PET Regranulate – will be sold to PET bottle producers who will use the PET Regranulate for their production. The "newly" produced PET bottle will be delivered to the bottling plant where it will be filled and made ready for the retail trade again. The PET cycle starts again from the beginning.
